Tapi Smart Flooring Solutions is the dedicated Business-to-Business (B2B) division of Tapi Carpets & Floors, delivering nationwide flooring solutions to social housing providers, local authorities, developers, contractors and commercial organisations across the UK . We are now seeking a commercially astute, ambitious and resilient Business Development Manager to identify, secure and develop new B2B partnerships across a defined region.

This is a high-impact, growth-focused role ideal for a confident new business hunter who thrives on prospecting, opening doors and building long-term commercial relationships within the construction, housing and interiors sectors.

 

The Opportunity

As Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of building and managing a strong pipeline of new B2B opportunities that feed into the Tapi national delivery network .

You will:

  • Identify and target new B2B prospects within social housing, local authorities, contractors, developers and commercial sectors

  • Generate and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities using CRM systems

  • Conduct proactive outreach, cold prospecting and networking

  • Book and lead introductory meetings with decision-makers and procurement teams

  • Create opportunities for flooring specifications, tenders and projects

  • Attend industry trade shows and networking events

  • Work collaboratively with the Head of B2B Partnerships and operational teams to convert pipeline into delivered revenue

  • Deliver against agreed new business and pipeline targets

This is a hybrid role combining strategic planning with field-based relationship development.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a high-performing new business professional with:

  • Proven experience in Business Development, New Business Sales or B2B Sales

  • A track record of self-generating leads through research, networking and outreach

  • Experience building and owning a regional market from scratch

  • Strong CRM discipline and structured pipeline management

  • Confidence in cold prospecting and booking senior-level meetings

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Commercial awareness and resilience

  • Willingness to travel across the UK for meetings and events

Experience within construction, housing, social housing, property, or interiors sectors would be advantageous .
